Introduced in the 1890's, this squash is also known as the Spaghetti Squash. Vigorous vines produce oblong, 8 12 in. long, cream colored 2 4 lb. fruits that are 4 6 in. in diameter. The pale gold flesh is stringy and when baked or boiled is then scraped out of the squash. Flavor is mild. Stores up to 6 months. Vine plant.
