One of the most famous of the heirloom tomatoes, this Amish heirloom was introduced in 1885. It comes from the collection of the late Ben Quisenberry who collected hundreds of tomato strains from 1910 to the 1960's. Large indeterminate plants have potato leaved foliage and produce 1 2 lb. fruits with deep pink skin and highly flavored red flesh.
