Corydalis solida is a member of the poppy family, native to Scandinavia. It is not known
whenit was introduced into the US, but it has been grown here for at least many decades and
perhaps centuries. It is also known as Fumewort. It is a woodland tuber that prefers partial
shade and rich well-drained soil. It is one of the few tubers that can tolerate moisture. It is
also deer proof. Plant 4" deep and 4" apart.
